IT'S BIRTHDAY TIME!

My wee-est is turning four on Wednesday. We celebrated with our families Sunday night with cake, ice cream, a pinata, and much to his delight, lots of presents. He wanted a dragon cake again this year. Things have been crazy around our lair, so unlike last year's cake, he got quicker version. The cake was made from scratch, but I felt kind of guilty about the decorating. He was thrilled he was able to lick the frosting off the dragon feet, so that made me feel better.
One of Lach's birthday wishes was a Lightning McQueen pinata. Are we the only ones that didn't know about the new pinata rules of NO HITTING?! See those strings on the bottom? They are for the children to hold onto and pull. One of the strings releases the candy but the children don't know which string did it. Give me a break. We think this is so ridiculous!
Being the rule breakers we are, we let the kids take turns beating the crap out of that pinata.
Laird was the one that delivered the fatal blow and the kids had a blast trying to hoard the candy.
On a side not, don't you love my brown grass? If you'd like to know my secret of perfect brown grass, I'll be glad to tell you the secret.
Happy birthday was sung, the candles were blown out, cake and ice cream were eaten and presents were opened.
It was a fun evening, but the thing he's really looking forward to, is going to Chuck E Cheese.
